Metallica first played in Kansas City on February 16, 1985 while on tour with W.A.S.P. and Armored Saint.

Metallica last performed in Kansas City on October 25, 2008 during the World Magnetic Tour.

This was the first time that “Hardwired”, “Atlas, Rise!”, “Now That We’re Dead”, “Moth Into Flame” and “Spit Out the Bone” were performed in Kansas City.

This was the first time in 34 years that “The Four Horsemen” was played in Kansas City. It was last performed here on February 16, 1985.

This was the first time in 27 years that “The Shortest Straw” and “The Unforgiven” were performed in Kansas City. Both songs were last played here on September 17, 1992.

This was the first time in 25 years that “Welcome Home (Sanitarium)” was played in Kansas City. It was last performed here on August 10, 1994.
