SHOW NOTES
This was the second of two consecutive shows in Paris and the 20th time they’ve performed in the city.

This was the first time in ten years that Fight Fire With Fire was performed in Paris. It was last performed here on July 7, 1999 at Omnisports Bercy.

This was the first time in ten years that Bleeding Me was performed in Paris. It was last performed here on July 7, 1999 at Omnisports Bercy. The appearance of this song is a bit of a treat since it has only been performed 13 times in five years.

This was only the third time that Hit the Lights was performed in Paris. It was last performed in Paris on June 11, 2003 at Le Trabendo. A live recording of that performance is available on the Some Kind of Monster EP (US) and The Unnamed Feeling single (Europe).

Paying homage to one of their heroes, they brought up their friend Biff Byford from Saxon to sing on a cover of the classic Saxon cut Motorcycle Man. Metallica has a long history with Saxon going all the way back to March 1982 when they opened for Saxon at the Whisky a Go-Go. It was only the third Metallica gig ever. (Yeah, yeah… I know Hetfield said it was their second gig, but it was actually the third.) Add this little gem of a performance to your collection!
