SHOW NOTES
This was our 11th visit to Milan, Italy. We first visited Milan on February 5, 1984 – it was only the second time we had played in Europe! We were last in Milan on July 6, 2011 during our European tour with The Big 4.

The set kicked off with “Fuel” which, believe it or not, hadn’t been performed in Milan in 16 years! The song’s only performance in Milan was on June 5, 1999 at the Gods of Metal festival.

“For Whom the Bell Tolls” followed, being played for the ninth time here in this Italian city. “Bellz” has had a pretty good track record in Milan being performed here in late ’84, ’87, ’88, ’92, twice in ’96, ’99 and ’11.

It’s been nearly 31 years since “Metal Miltiia” was played in Milan. It was last performed here on November 27, 1984.

“King Nothing” was up next. Like “Fuel,” “King” hadn’t been performed in Milan in 16 years, last being played here in 1999.

“Disposable Heroes” has only had the luck of being performed in Milan once before. It was previously played here on June 22, 2009 during the World Magnetic tour.

Four out of the next five songs were played for the first time in Milan. “The Unforgiven II,” “Cyanide” (really!), “Lords of Summer” and “The Frayed Ends of Sanity” all had not been performed here prior to today’s show. “Sad But True” was the staple that fell in between these four songs – as you could probably guess, “Sad” has been played at every show in Milan since November 17, 1992.

The back half of the set were all tried and true setlist staples. “Fade to Black” rotated into the slot before “Seek and Destroy.” Out of the last eight songs, “Fight Fire with Fire” had been played in Milan the least (four times – ’84, ’86, ’99 and ’09) and “Master of Puppets” & “Creeping Death” had been played in Milan the most (eight times).

Esta fue nuestra 11ª visita a Milán, Italia. Visitamos Milán por primera vez el 5 de febrero de 1984. ¡Era solo la segunda vez que tocábamos en Europa! Estuvimos por última vez en Milán el 6 de julio de 2011 durante nuestra gira europea con The Big 4.

El set comenzó con “Fuel” que, lo creas o no, ¡no se había presentado en Milán en 16 años! La única presentación de la canción en Milán fue el 5 de junio de 1999 en el festival Gods of Metal.

Le siguió “For Whom the Bell Tolls”, que se presentó por novena vez aquí en esta ciudad italiana. “Bellz” ha tenido un historial bastante bueno en Milán, presentándose aquí a finales del 84, 87, 88, 92, dos veces en el 96, 99 y 11.

Han pasado casi 31 años desde que se tocó “Metal Miltiia” en Milán. Se realizó por última vez aquí el 27 de noviembre de 1984.

“King Nothing” fue el siguiente. Al igual que “Fuel”, “King” no se había presentado en Milán en 16 años, la última vez que se presentó aquí fue en 1999.

“Disposable Heroes” solo ha tenido la suerte de presentarse en Milán una vez antes. Anteriormente se tocó aquí el 22 de junio de 2009 durante la gira World Magnetic.

Cuatro de las siguientes cinco canciones se tocaron por primera vez en Milán. “The Unforgiven II”, “Cyanide” (¡de verdad!), “Lords of Summer” y “The Frayed Ends of Sanity” no se habían presentado aquí antes del espectáculo de hoy. “Sad But True” fue el elemento básico que se encontraba entre estas cuatro canciones; como probablemente puedas adivinar, “Sad” se ha tocado en todos los espectáculos en Milán desde el 17 de noviembre de 1992.

La mitad posterior del set eran todos elementos básicos probados y verdaderos de la lista de canciones. “Fade to Black” giró en la ranura antes de “Seek and Destroy”. De las últimas ocho canciones, “Fight Fire with Fire” fue la que menos se tocó en Milán (cuatro veces: ’84, ’86, ’99 y ’09) y “Master of Puppets” y “Creeping Death”. en Milán la mayoría (ocho veces).
