This was the eighth show that Metallica performed in 2013.

This was the second of two consecutive shows in Cape Town.

Seven out of the 18 songs on the setlist had never been performed in Cape Town. These songs included: “The Shortest Straw”, “Through the Never”, “The Memory Remains”, “Cyanide”, “…And Justice for All”, “Am I Evil?”, and “Fight Fire with Fire”.

The band performed 18 songs off of eight albums: Kill ‘Em All (1), Ride the Lightning (3), Master of Puppets (3), …And Justice for All (3), The Black Album (4), Reload (2), Garage Inc. (1), Death Magnetic (1)
