The Download Scotland Festival is a brand new festival for Scotland. This was a two day festival with Linkin Park headlining the first day, and Metallica the second and final day.

This was the first time Ride The Lightning has been performed in Europe on this leg of the Madly In Anger With The World Tour.

This was the first time The Thing That Should Not Be has been performed in Europe on this leg of the Madly In Anger With The World Tour.

This was the third time Holier Than Thou was ever played in Europe.

This was the second time Jump In The Fire was ever played in Europe.

The last time Metallica performed in Glasgow, was on October 10, 1996 at the Barrowland.
