The last time Metallica played Phoenix was on March 2, 2004 at the America West Arena which was also the kick off date of the Madly in Anger With the World US Arena Tour.

This was the first time that That Was Just Your Life, The End of the Line, Broken, Beat & Scarred, and The Day That Never Comes were performed in the US.

The last time Until It Sleeps was performed in Phoenix was on September 11, 1998 at the Desert Sky Pavilion.

The last time the electric version of The Four Horsemen was played in the Phoenix area was on September 10, 1989 in Chandler, AZ at Compton Terrace.
