This was the 115th show on the World Magnetic Tour and the 89th performance in 2009.

This was the ninth time that Metallica played Las Vegas.

This was the first time that Metallica played at the Mandalay Bay Event Center. You may recognize the venue from numerous UFC fights as well as the final fight in the film Rocky Balboa.

Metallica last played in Las Vegas on March 13, 2004 at the Thomas & Mack Center during the Madly in Anger With the World Tour. You can download a copy of that show here.

Metallica first played Las Vegas on June 11, 1986 at the Thomas & Mack Center during the Damage, Inc. Tour.

In addition to the Damage, Inc. and Mady in Anger… tours, Metallica also performed in Las Vegas on the Damaged Justice Tour (September 9, 1989), the Wherever We May Roam Tour (January 4, 1992), the Summer Shit Tour (July 30, 1994), the Poor Touring Me Tour (January 10, 1997), the Poor ReTouring Me Tour (September 12, 1998), and a New Years gig on December 31, 2003 during the Madly in Anger… Tour.

This was the sixth time that Ride the Lightning was played on this leg of the North American Tour which began in Nashville on September 14th. It was last played on November 12, 2009 in Albany, NY.

This was the first time 23 years that Ride the Lightning was played in Las Vegas. It was last played here on June 11, 1986.

This was the fourth time that The Memory Remains was played on this leg of the North American Tour. It was last played on November 12, 2009 in Albany, NY.

This was the first time in over 11 years that The Memory Remains was played in Las Vegas. It was last played here on September 12, 1998.

This was the first time in over 11 years that Fight Fire With Fire was played in Las Vegas. It was last played here on September 12, 1998.

This was the first time that Die, Die My Darling was played in Las Vegas.
