This was the first time in nine years that Metallica performed in Sacramento.

This was the 12th time that Metallica played in Sacramento.

Metallica first played in Sacramento on December 29, 1985 at Memorial Auditorium while supporting Y&T.

Metallica’s last performance in Sacramento was on December 8, 2009 at Arco Arena.

This was the first time that “Hardwired,” “Atlas, Rise!,” “The Shortest Straw,” “Now That We’re Dead,” “Confusion,” and “Moth Into Flame” were performed in Sacramento.

This was the first time in over six years that “The Shortest Straw” was played in the U.S. It was last performed stateside on June 24, 2012 during the Orion Music + More festival in Atlantic City. It was also the first performance of the song in over seven months.

This was the first time in 26 years that “The Unforgiven” was played in Sacramento. It was last performed here on January 11, 1992 during the Wherever We May Roam tour.

This was the first time in 22 years that “Whiplash” was performed in Sacramento. It was last played here on December 29, 1996 during the Poor Touring Me tour.

Metallica performed 18 songs from the following albums: Kill ‘Em All (2), Ride the Lightning (2), Master of Puppets (3), …And Justice for All (2), Metallica (4), and Hardwired…To Self-Destruct (5).
